No fireworks. The media is trying to make something out of nothing. She was a Democrat fired who didn’t like it.
Trump had his reasons. She is not really that dynamic.
He is wasting a lot of valuable time.
Who are those people behind her? Lawyers or state department syncopants or both??
Actually, this counsel is very effective. He’s laying the foundation to support Trump’s claim that he was concerned about widespread corruption in Ukraine. And she’s conceding the corruption problem wholly unrelated to Hunter Biden.
This is like watching paint dry. I hope the Republican counsel is going to go for the kill shot at some point.
She’s career foreign service. Still employed by the State Dept, I think. May be on some kind of leave.

This is like going to a gang drive by shooting trial and questioning the guy that built their super bad ride, and all the ins and outs of fining a junkyard with a good transmission to rebuild and getting a good deal on the gold metalflake paint.
i.e. in a sane world (or court of law) this would have been nixed in the first five seconds.
The mix of political and career ambassadors vary by administration. Usually, it is around two-thirds career. Trump is around 50%, which is why he is getting blowback from the bureacracy. There are less ambassadorships available for the career types. The employee union, AFSA, has been critical of Trump for this and other reasons.
This is putting the guy behind her to sleep. He is not really awake anyway.

Yeah, he’s basically got her to say that it’s American policy to help clean up corruption in Ukraine.
So Trump’s request was completely rational.
