“The danger is a much larger number will draw conclusions from the mainstream media’s recap and select soundbites.”

I’m not worried. There is no way they can recap this as a nonpartisan procedure, because no Republicans will utter a single word that incriminates the President or supports the impeachment narrative. Any incriminating sound bites will have to be of Democrats, Democrat council, and witnesses hand picked by Democrats.

Such extreme partisanship in an impeachment hearing will not play well with the public, especially so close to a presidential election. Objective, open-minded voters will see that it is only Democrats that are behind this, and they will understand it to be a political hit job rather than a real search for the truth.

Those against Trump will still vote against him, and those for him will still vote for him. Those on the fence will not appreciate the Democrats politicizing the impeachment process, and I believe they will largely see President Trump as the victim and sympathize with him.

As long as it is partisan it can’t hurt the President. The big losers will be the DNC and the fake news. Winner: President Trump.

That’s my hope yet I am concerned by the amount of otherwise smart, decent people that are taken in by news reports.
