Full of himself WWAAAAAHH, Trump didn't do what I demanded.
I'm interested in the larger process the Dems are laying out here, and what it's going to look like.
Schiff will have a bunch of days of these hearings. How many? What's the end date for Schiff's show-and-tell phase?
As I understand the process outlined in the resolution Nadler at the Judiciary Committee is the fellow who is going to put the formal articles of impeachment together, once Schiff has completed the Parody Hearings portion of the event.
What date are we expecting that? One thing I read said that the Schiff stuff would wind up by Thanksgiving and that Nadler would be driving after.
I've also heard the idea that Pelosi wants this out of the House by the Christmas break. That makes some sense,
So, it lands in Congress in January (I think that's roughly the timetable of the Clinton impeachment Dec. leaves House, Jan taken up in Senate).
We are seeing the estimate of six weeks in the Senate. Assuming they start in early Jan that would mean that this would still be in the Senate in until Feb 15.
There are at least US Senators trying to win the Democratic nomination: Warren, Sanders, Klobacher, Harris, Booker. This will be a big pain for them. What steps, if any, will the Senate take to accommodate the political schedule of these candidates?
I realize it's highly speculative, but I'd love to hear other FReepers estimates of what the schedule looks like going forward.
