The California Democrat takes his magic act public Wednesday as the impeachment hearings burst out of a Capitol Hill dungeon and onto television. Donald Trump’s presidency and the 2020 election likely hang on whether Schiff’s sleight of hand can survive the bright lights of public exposure and cross-examination.

The GOPe may be stupid, corrupt, spineless, backstabbing criminals who would sell their own daughters for a dollar, but even they can do the math. They vote to impeach Trump; they’re gone.
They have no choice. The day that the GOP "stormed" the basement room where the hearings were held, was the day that Pelosi announced the vote on the sham open hearings.
The GOP offered 17 simple amendments that would have made the process somewhat more transparent and fair: https://rules.house.gov/bill/116/h-res-PIH-inquiry They were as simple as changing "authorized to transfer" to "shall transfer" potentially exculpatory evidence to the defense. In other words, the Brady Rule. But no Brady Rule for Trump. Nothing for Trump, just a now-public circus orchestrated by Schiff.
The GOP did what they could to the limits of their power.
He’s only a terrific magician because he’s performing for a party of mental and emotional 6 year olds. However, there’s this annoying little thing called ‘reality’ and the adults in the room get to patiently sit back, roll their eyes, and wait for the inevitable sugar coma that’s going to kick their asses.
