Schiff is making up rules. Whistleblowers are protected from reprisals. Their identity is not.

Schiff, with his reckless crusade, is well on his way into becoming the next McCarthy ... no matter what you may think about Joe McCarthy, whether overall he was right or wrong, his crusade caused a LOT of turmoil and ruined a LOT of people in its recklessness. Schiff seems to be on the same path ... hopefully this will play out and he'll die a despised and broken man as well.
