I think she got the worst possible punishment. She could feel the presidency within her grasp, and had to watch it slip away, further and further on election night, until she finally had to admit to herself it wasn’t going to happen. And despite all the animosity aimed at president Trump, she has awakened every morning since that election knowing that she will never be president. The must be pure hell for someone like her.
