Exactly. Since Amazon began allowing third-party sellers to use its platform, it's swamped with Asian sellers -- yes, mostly Chinese -- whose merchandise is often of dubious quality and whose item descriptions are nearly unintelligible. They'd gladly offer a T-shirt emblazoned with ADOLF HITLER WAS RIGHT!!! if they thought it would sell, and they'd meekly take it down if asked to do so. They're just looking to make a buck by any means.

Over a third of the 3rd-party sellers on Amazon are Chinese nationals. They tend to occupy the top search results because they successfully use black hat tactics, like fake review rings, competitor sabotage, insider access to edit seller accounts and throw-away seller accounts.
