Texas governors have been inviting people to come here. Nuts. There is no more south. There will be no more Texas. Migration has always been a slayer on peoples.

Yep. And yet I’ve had debates on here with FReepers with their heads in the sand that insist Texas won’t turn blue. It will and it will be less than 20 years...probably less than 12-15.

Rick Perry...touted as a hero by so many, should be an effin’ outcast. While he’s probably no different than any one else, he traveled the world and country to get big business to move to Texas. Offered them all sorts of tax breaks and incentives, courtesy of the Texas taxpayer. Lots of jobs for my Texas family. Only problem, when they came they brought all their liberal workers with them.

He had his buddies popping subdivisions, new schools, new parks and, oh yeah, NO state income tax. Don’t worry about your property taxes though, which tend to be a little high. But when you’re paying $10k a year in NY, a $3500/yr property tax bill sounds nice. And when you can move from a 3/2 ranch on a .10 of an acre to a 4/3 colonial on 1 or 2 acres, you can’t pack the moving van fast enough.

Issue is, none of these folks will “assimilate” into the Texas way of life. They’ll just change where they move to. IE....Austin or DFW. Gone forever.’’

Toss in everything he did for illegals and like giving them in-state tuition and it’s a recipe for the disaster we see unfolding.
