Is there a “Lee” surname in Korea?
I always thought Asians with the surname “Lee” were Chinese.

Yes; its common in Korea, although sometimes pronounced Ree.
Its the same as the Chinese name, meaning plum (李); it was also Bruce Lees surname (the Lee spelling is prevalent in Hong Kong due to British influence I suspect; the Pinyin transliteration is Li).
