Women were in combat specialties in Israel’s War of Independence. Between 1948 and the late 1990s, no women were allowed to serve in those specialties. We know the reasons for that, and it changed only recently due to the feminists, lawyers and courts. The IDF is trying to prevent losses in other ways.

You realize we’re posting the same thing, right?

“A major milestone came in 1995, when the High Court of Justice ruled that women were entitled to both formal and substantive equality in their military service—opening up combat positions to women, first to serve as pilots and then as combat soldiers in various prestigious units.”

So I guess you agree with me that you can’t use the IDF as a force that doesn’t include women in combat roles.
