Below what? Do you have links refuting the ones I posted from the Israelis themselves?
You DO understand that I oppose women in combat roles and even more so the lowering of standards to make it happen, right? And that my only other point is that one cannot use the IDF as an example of a military any different that ours when it comes to gender integration, unless its an example thats further down the road.
Right?
Women were in combat specialties in Israel’s War of Independence. Between 1948 and the late 1990s, no women were allowed to serve in those specialties. We know the reasons for that, and it changed only recently due to the feminists, lawyers and courts. The IDF is trying to prevent losses in other ways.
You realize were posting the same thing, right?
A major milestone came in 1995, when the High Court of Justice ruled that women were entitled to both formal and substantive equality in their military serviceopening up combat positions to women, first to serve as pilots and then as combat soldiers in various prestigious units.

So I guess you agree with me that you cant use the IDF as a force that doesnt include women in combat roles.
I put a link at Post number 77 that works Its a really good article you should check it out
Well, by all means, this test needs to be dropped low enough for any 12 year old to pass.
It was a policy change from 2015 that opened every job in the military to women and DoD began to force elite military training units to pass women, such at the first women to be GIVEN Army Ranger tabs, I refuse to call those women Army Rangers........ (Jessica Lynch was a truck driver. Support jobs have been open to women for years)
“You need to be aware Israel stopped putting women in line units, in combat roles”
An Israeli colonel told me some decades ago that the main reasons they stopped were that they could get women to start killing, but they couldn’t get them to stop. Instead of taking prisoners, they would kill the enemy to the last one.
As Hulka noted, that discourages surrender.
The other reason was that you can’t stop men from acting to protect women, even at the cost of the mission.
2015 just made legal what Clinton and Bush Jr had already been doing. Jessica Lynch should not have been in a combat zone. She was there, because just like with Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, Bush Jr was as socially progressive as any Democrat and willing to impose that agenda on the military.
The only difference between Clinton and Obama versus Bush Jr is that the first two were more open about what they planned to do. Dubya, being a loyal GOP establishment hack, instead lied to his voters in order to fool them into voting for him.

So you misunderstand me too I see. Before I point out that one of the links is incorrect (there are three mixed gender infantry units in the IDF, not two) let me reiterate that I do not support placing women in combat. Is that clear?
I also do not deny that women in such roles are being protected and covered by their male counterparts. Yes, those three units are static defense battalions, not front line units that will undertake offensive operations in wartime.
HOWEVER, they ARE combat units. Israeli law says that ALL combat roles must be open to women. Yes, the brass are dragging their feet but there are female Israeli fighter pilots. Women are in the infantry and are now suing to get into tank units. Women HAVE been in combat in the IDF and not just in 1948.
All I have ever written on this topic is that one simply cannot accurately claim that the IDF used to have female combat soldiers but no longer do. That simply isnt accurate.
Ive never claimed its a good idea. Ive never written that gender integration will improve combat effectiveness. Ive never denied that the impact of female IDF members is exaggerated.
Have I made myself clear?
Thank you, I appreciate your thoughtfulness.
You are most welcome.
Sadly, I think this fight is over. It will only get worse going forward.
They will just be promoted above ranks where theyd march or carry loads.
Evey woman I ever worked with in grocery stores had shoulder surgery or wrist surgery....or BOTH!
And the heaviest thing they could have EVER lifted in that industry was a 50lb sack if potatoes or a 40lb box of apples.
In reality most work registers or in the deli and bakery....lifting WAY less than 50lbs.
So how the heck are those body types going to survive carrying a combat load that routinely exceeds 100lbs
