Time to expand DC to include those suburbs.
Please throw in the Maryland suburbs of D.C. as well to give us beleaguered deplorables to the north a fighting chance!
IIRC, VA has alwas been very close with the areas cloest to DC having a large chunk of the population and therefore pushing the state Blue. I’m not sure where the flipped seats were, but I suspect they were close to DC.
