Florida: Huge Majority of Hispanics Support DeSantis, Mandatory E-Verify
Breitbart ^ | 4 Nov 2019 | JOHN BINDER

A huge majority of Hispanic voters in Florida support mandatory E-Verify to ban employers from hiring illegal aliens and Gov. Ron DeSantis after he outlawed sanctuary cities across the state.

A new poll by the University of North Florida finds that 82 percent of Hispanic voters in Florida approve of the job DeSantis is doing as governor, along with 72 percent of all Florida voters. Only eight percent of Hispanics said they disapproved of DeSantis.

This indicates that DeSantis is more popular among Hispanics than he is with white Floridians, who support him by a majority of 76 percent. DeSantis’s popularity with Hispanic Floridians comes after he outlawed sanctuary cities in the state, a move that was opposed by the open borders lobby.

Last week, DeSantis said mandatory E-Verify “is the best way to help deter illegal immigration.”

They’ve been saying that Republicans must change to attract Hispanics - it sounds like Gov. DeSantis is the model.

This also indicates that Florida is not a 'swing state', it is going to Trump, bigly.

When 70%+ of hispanics in FL are on your side, you win.

So, you “love” in Florida?

When I was younger I did a lot of loving in Florida, now I live in PA, and go to FL to fish and golf.

It is a beautiful place to be from December to April/May and then, head north.

I spent 6-10 weeks down there every year, depending on how my sales were going on up north.

My brother lived in West Palm and my brother in law lived in Ft. Pierce and had a 32 foot boat which was big enough for ocean fishing.

They are both fishing in Florida Heaven {they passed on the cocoon route}.

When an area is saturated with illegals it shines a light on the population and threatens everyone. Our country club just went through and fired people without green cards. Many lost their jobs and other club employees are going to follow.

OMG - Great news... it means Trump will take Florida... Democrats were wrong about the Hispanic vote - these people are Americans first and do NOT support open borders and other liberal insanities.

Plus, he got rid of of the crooked Palm Beach county supervisor of elections.
Scott already got rid of the crooked one in Broward county, so we should be in good shape for 2020.

I have been saying the same thing here on FR for 20 years. Every politician in DC knows that this would be a complete game changer which is why it has never made it through congress.

Trump even offered the DEMs DACA which they refused because he attached mandatory E-Verify to it. They know it would completely cut off the cheep labor and cheep voter express.

Very nice cultural reference. It always makes me a little sad when I bring up some touchstones like that and certain of the younger group give me the fish eye stare.

Two of my children decided to do the Pensacola route for college, so we go down there a lot.

For the kids with the computer in their hand, if it ain't on netflix, hulu, or some other download, it doesn't exist {and never did}.

They are taught little real history, I'd wager that most have no clue that the KKK is a demonRAT creation, that all of the Southern gubbernors that fostered segregation were demonRAT or that a pubbie President {Ike} sent federal troops to integrate the schools in the south.

Most would never believe that Martin Luther King was a pubbie and that he would condemn today's demonRATs, both black and white.

My heart breaks over the ignorance of today's yutes.

Just for clarification, DeSantis is actually of Italian descent. Grandparents were born in Italy. That makes him the first Italian-American Florida Governor. :-)

Concerning cultural things like movies, have you heard about Disney buying up old movies and putting them into the “vault”? Theaters which had been using old movies to earn cash in between big movies have been coming up short because Disney will not let them rent the movie to show in their theaters. I think it popped up because they wanted to rent the first Terminator to build interest in the latest offering.

You can still get those movies from the internet, but seeing them on the big screen is a lot different than home theater.
