The Germans were working on anti-gravity in the 40's during WW2. A lot of the German rocket scientists fled to the West to avoid capture by the Russians.

The first true 'flying saucer' sightings started in 1947. Who knows what development have been made since then.

The vehicles observed and recorded by U.S. Navy fighter pilots seem impervious to altitude or the elements; they are able to maneuver above 80,000 feet; they can hover and then instantly accelerate to supersonic and even hypersonic speeds; they have very low radar cross-sections and use a means of propulsion and control that does not appear to involve combustion, exhaust, rotors, wings or flaps.

Probably ours and the technology is kept secret because if it became commercially available, it would wreck the world's transportation industry.

First assume that a Government employee is dumb as a box of rocks. They have spent years avoiding learning practical skillsets.

We see now the sheer stupidity of leaders of the CIA, FBI and DOJ.

That said, until a UFO shows up in a museum I can visit, it is fun speculation at best.
