But again I think he spoke to the commanders on the ground and got this information from them.
This stupid General had not even spoken to those commanders so how does he know what was said to the President?
Answer - he does not know - which was detailed further down in the article - but of course the NY Slimes wanted to highlight his veiled attack on our Commander in Chief.
