Come to think of it, it would by HYSTERICAL if Trump let Putin know in advance...and who knows, that may have been the case.

I believe they did, not necessarily Putin directly, but Russia as we had to fly over territory they control. I suspect it made it up the line. We take it as a given that US Congresspeople would have leaked the information. Yet it was known by Turkey, Russia, Iraq, I believe Syria and the Kurds. I’m sure all shared the information among those with a need to know. And no leaks. The US Congress, another story. Some of them would be expected to harm or country.

He absolutely did told someone in Russia — probably Putin. He mentioned in his statement regarding permission to use Russian air space — not exactly what the mission was, but that it was important.

Sad when Putin, Erdogan, etc., are more trustworthy than the (alleged) Americans in DC.
