If I heard it right the potus did notify Turkey just before the operation that they would be taking out baghdadi and probably told them in a chopper flying at low altitude.He most likely did that so they did not get shot out of the air since potus just said that Turkey, Russia and Syria all had big time weapons in the area.

It all worked and all the choppers encountered was small arms fire.
