The Department Justice is opening a criminal investigation into its own Russia probe. A new report from The New York Times said officials have shifted the Russia investigation overseen by Attorney General Barr from an “administrative review” into a criminal investigation.
The move gives U.S. attorney John Durham the power to subpoena for witness testimony and documents. DOJ rules state that a criminal inquiry can only be undertaken after finding a “reasonable indication” of wrongdoing. The intent of the investigation will be to uncover the origin of the Russia probe, but it is not clear what potential crime Durham is investigating or what prompted the inquiry.
This comes after Special Counsel Robert Mueller III closed the official investigation months ago.

Looks like the Democratic defense is to attack Barr and Trump accusing them of weaponizing the DOJ in order to stop the impeachment hearings
So maybe the rat congressional hearings were planned all along as a defensive strategy to counter the imminent charges. They knew they were not constitutional, their purpose was to hold the line on public opinion.

All the dncmedia must have received the same talking points. They are all saying it is terrible that people who investigated the Russia interference thing are being investigated for doing it.
Probably the result of criminal referrals in the upcoming IG report.
Referrals are supposed to be made as soon as credible information is known, and are not supposed to wait until reports are complete. So investigations should be underway, before the report is released.
I thought that James Wolfe’s case was closed, and he had already been sentenced.
