Me too. I have two knives that have a window-breaker point and seat belt cutter, one on me and one in the jockey box (it’s a smart tactic to velcro one to the dash, I think I’m going to try that). They work, I’ve used them before. I do not understand why cops don’t carry these, it’s the height of ignorance (or they’re such cheap-asses that they won’t carry one until the department issues them one; you can buy one off Amazon for $8, $20-$30 if you’re being sophisticated). I can’t tell you how many YouTube videos I’ve seen of cops beating the hell out of a side window with their baton and failing to break it. A 6 year old girl could break out a car’s side window with a tactical pen or knife that has a window-breaker tip.
You mentioned batons - the heel plate on my Asp is a pointed hardened steel glass breaker.
