Last polls showed election in a dead heat. Were looking at a minority government.

We should have results from the Atlantic ridings soon. Atlantic is an hour ahead of Eastern.

Looks like no party is going to be able to win this thing outright. Politics make for strange bedfellows but especially so under Parliamentary rules.

You need 40% to be in majority party territory.

Its going to come down to ON. Tories have to win here to form a government.

Parliamentary systems can be fascinating. Sometimes I fantasize that if we had one here, a "Trump" party could emerge and crowd out RU (Rino Uniparty). As Mr. Netanyahu has discovered, however, forming a government can be fraught with problems...
Of course, if we had such a system, Nancy Pelosi would be head of the government. ceteris paribus...

I find it unseemly that the media gets to report results before BC has even finished voting. But I guess that’s life.

The Atlantic provinces come first and the West comes towards the end of the night.

My mom had an outburst at the poll today. It involved voting with pencils. From what I understand the counting is done by non-partisan professionals. When they count the votes they open a ballot and read out the vote. I would then conclude, that it would be near impossible for someone to smudge a ballot and call it spoiled? There are facebook rumours that is going on, but you it could just be paranoia?

I like our system with the exception of our Senate. It is an appointed Senate which means the vast majority of Senators come from Ontario and Quebec.

I’m hoping that an enthusiasm gap benefits the CPC.
