I’ll make a prediction: If Brexit was indeed one of the reasons for the EU’s and the UK’s involvement in Spygate, it’ll be a cold day in Hell before the EU allows the UK to leave.
And a note to the UK: If you somehow manage to find the guts and gumption to Brexit, I’d do it and make those awesome trade deals with Trump fast, before the American public finds out just what the hell your government was up to. Because, I suspect, the American public will be a whole lot less forgiving than our president.
There in lies the question. Can the EU force a member to remain a member? Or does the EU wield that much power over their members to essentially disapprove an exit by allowing an unsigned forced / arguably illegitimate request ? Kinda like a bank cashing an unsigned check when the account holder has informed the bank that the check was written against their will and refused to sign it.
