Very true.
The overwhelming majority of LEOs are there because they want to help people and the easiest way to do that, in a macro sense, is by preserving order.
As society continues to degrade into chaos, they encounter more and more hostility by those creating disorder, and laws are turned upside down, it's not hard to imagine the hopelessness beginning to weigh on a person too much to endure.
When the Sentinels begin killing themselves, that's a dire warning.
