I never thought I’d be rooting for the Mexicans, but there’s no doubt they’re getting a taste of what we’re having to deal with on our border, and don’t like it very much.
The way President Trump was talking about the cooperation we’re now getting from Mexico suggests relations may have reached some sort of turning point.
We’ll see — but there’s nothing like shared hardship to either bring people and nations together or set them at each other’s throats. Let’s hope good sense and good will prevails.
A sovereign nation has the right to control who is allowed within its borders. If, for example, Guatemala wanted to exclude gringos, I’d be totally cool with that.
Mexico has been allowing them to pass through unhindered for decades.
They only started caring when President Trump threatened to put tariffs on Mexican products if they didn’t.
Glad they have decided to play ball, glad we finally have a President willing to play hardball for US.
“I never thought Id be rooting for the Mexicans, but theres no doubt theyre getting a taste of what were having to deal with on our border, and dont like it very much.”

It may take a lot more pain on their side of the border for them to understand what they did to the US.
The refugees/invaders they are dealing with now are of even lower quality and behavior than those they encouraged to come over to the US.
When Mexico starts screaming how broke they’re going and how their folks are getting raped/robbed and murdered, then and only then will I begin to feel sorry for that country.
It’s not about actively wishing ill upon someone; it’s more about letting them live with the results of their actions.
