And what the people of those states and any state considering doing away with the winner take all system need to know is that the overall effect of this is to water down the states influence on electing the President. If the electoral votes are close to an even split this system virtually nullifies the presidential vote of the entire state.

Yep. So few people understand the whole concept of the federal government being a Republic of sovereign states. The brainwashing of generations has been effective.

They don’t understand the great compromises needed to form a federal government comprised of small and large states in the first place. The elites understand it and know they have to get rid of the EC so California and New York can Lord it over the entire country.
