Putin says Trump not to blame for lack of improvement in Russia-U.S. ties

MOSCOW, Oct 13 (Reuters) - Moscow is not blaming U.S. President Donald Trump for failing to improve U.S.-Russian relations, a pledge he had made during his election campaign, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview with Arab broadcasters.

"We know that, including during his previous election campaign, he spoke in favour of a normalisation (of U.S.-Russia relations), but unfortunately it has not happened yet," Putin told Al Arabiya, Sky News Arabia and RT Arabic.

"But we have no claims because we see what's going on in U.S. domestic politics," he said, according to a transcript published on the Kremlin's website on Sunday.

Putin said the "internal political agenda" was not allowing Trump to take steps aimed at a drastic improvement of bilateral relations, adding Moscow would in any case work with any U.S. administration to the extent that Washington itself wants.

Putin also said Russia had weapons that neutralise any threat from NATO's missile deployments in Poland and Romania.

"This obviously poses a threat to us because it's an attempt to level out our strategic nuclear potential. It's bound to fail, this attempt, it's already obvious," he said.

The interview was aired on Sunday ahead of Putin's visit to Saudi Arabia on Oct. 14. (Reporting by Maria Kiselyova Editing by Frances Kerry)

The Democrats used the Russians as scapegoats for the DNC data leak that resulted in the murder of Seth Rich.

Hard to imagine good relations if the Democrats take back the WH after scapegoating the Russians for so long. We’ll need them to counter the Chinese. An ‘empty’ Siberia, a billion Chinese, and and an economy that Russia cannot compete with.

We all know here the Democrats have had a long history with the Russians going back to the Soviet Union days. In the fifties Joseph McCarthy exposed the Russian intrusion into our government with the left’s help, and the Swamp had to destroy him politically and personally. Many with Democrat Party leanings have spied for the Russians. During the Cold War it was Democrats who were constantly defending the Soviet Union. I remember how they slobbered all over themselves when Mikhail Gorbachev came to the States in 1988 thinking he was the savior of the world and Ronald Reagan was the nutjob with his finger on the nuclear button. So the Democrats need to cut the crap about Russian intrusion in the Trump campaign and our elections. They’re the ones who are kissing Russia’s butt. I have no doubt Putin has the goods on all of our lamebrains in Congress!

Democrats were butt-buddies of the Russians for years.

Nothing’s changed. They are just now trying to hide it.

What are common goals?

Pure, raw, unadulterated power and global domination.

I know Pelousy gets a SS detail, but the low level dregs?

Just like any other alliance of criminal organizations, they figure they'll take care of the other guy later.
