Edwards took less than 40% of the vote in 2015 while three Republican candidates split 57%. Yet Edwards won the runoff 56% to 44%. This isn’t over, not by a long shot.

David Vitter had his "D.C. Madam" problem. While that might be considered a "plus" if running for governor as a Democrat in New Jersey or Illinois, I doubt it's anything but a lethal blow to a Republican politician in Louisiana.

I agree that "It ain't over till it's over."

“David Vitter had his “D.C. Madam” problem.”

Vitter had that “problem” but still won his first senatorial election. When he ran for governor, the RINOs defeated him.

Vitter was going to clean up the profound level of corruption in Red Stick City, and that was an unforgiveable sin to both Demonrats and his Derp State RINO opponents back in 2015. Any sex scandal was a smokescreen. We’ve seen how Dems throw that out at the drop of a hat.
