Reading through the entire story there have been eight (8) police shootings since June, ON THAT STREET. East Street, FT. WORTH.
These cases sound like Very nervous, jittery cops, not experienced or poorly trained, but definitely No Confidence behaviors are apparent.

Only reason she might get post-death justice is because cops killed a woman.

I really like my local police, really I do. I know them pretty well, and they are not gun-slinging hotheads.
That said, there’s a lot of truth in the saying “there are few situations so bad they can’t be made worse by the addition of a cop.” As situations like this one show us.
Before you call the cops, make sure you *really* need them.

This is some messed up story. They are called for a welfare check, a cop looks through the window, sees a person and just hauls off and shoots her dead? Is that what happened? Because that sounds pretty messed up to me.
I feel the same way about the cops and sherrifs in my town and about calling them. Pretty much only if legally required to.

He won’t be given one. He was there on an official call, which gave him the license to shoot any person or dog who got in his way. At most, he’ll be fired and turn up on another force in a different state in a year.
Me too! She’d outlived nearly all her friends, and the two remaining English speaking neighbors were out of town.

I didn't see an account of just why the cops were called in the first place.
