This afternoon Smith released a statement explaining that he is resigning from Fox News effective immediately. Smith explains that he asked Fox News to be released from his contract so he can pursue other opportunities, and Fox News first asked him to stay before releasing him.
Smith’s departure comes months after Patrick Howley broke the accusations against Smith from a man who says he was molested by the former Fox News anchor.
“I wake up, and Shepard is on top of me, like, in a towel or a bathrobe. And he’s got his tongue down my throat and his hands all over me. Completely uninvited. I mean, I gave him no signal. There was nothing,” John Doe #1 says in the interview — excerpts of which are presented in audio form above.
“I had also volunteered to sleep in the spare, so it wasn’t — I never invited myself to his bedroom,” John Doe #1 said.
“I pushed him off. I was like, ‘Dude what are you doing?’ And he’s like, ‘what you don’t like it?’ There was like this, kind of like No!, and he kept going, he kept pushing. Like, pushing his hands on all these spots,” John Doe #1 said.
The departure also comes after weeks of feuding with Carlson, who anchors Tucker Carlson Tonight, one of the network’s most highly viewed programs.
This explains why the Daily Mail said he was escorted out of the building.
Sounds real strange....odd story. I need more reporting to believe this...
This is old news.
And I still think this isn’t the real reason Smith’s gone.
FOX is flatly denying (s)he was “escorted out of the building”.
He’ll be on MSNBC in no time.
He won’t be missed.

No, you don’t need anymore reporting to believe it. Under the new standards advocated by the dems and Shep Smith all you need is an anonymous source with second hand knowledge.
Well, I heard from someone who works there that Shep sexually assaulted someone. Seriesly, I heard it and blew the whistle on Shep.
He used his dog as an excuse. Wanted to spend more time with Lucia.
Give the time slot to judge Jeanine.
If this sounds in any way or to any degree odd to you, then you have very little experience with homosexuals in real life, and are far too credulous as to the portrayal of homosexuals on television.

I bet This has more to do with tucker than anything....he’s mad because they did nothing to Carlson.
On a related note business insider said shep was a moderate.

Except there is no anonymous source. There is an open and direct accusation.
My guess, based solely on seeing what a vile person Shep is, is that FNC management got news that he was into something, probably sexual, that was so vile they had to flush him QUICKLY and did so.
So Shep DID kind of catch the doorknob on his most receptive place as he was walking out the door (or was being hustled out). It had been an open secret about the ambiguity of Shep’s sexual orientation for some time, but I chalked his drivel he passed off as opinions to being something of a snowflake.
Missed without sadness.
Maybe has something to do with this? Shep traveled to Ukraine in 2014:

This could improve the Fox News anchor line up, depending on who is chosen to replace him in his televised time slot.
I have personally refused to watch or listen to him for the past several years.
I think Smith is gone for the fake poll and other machinations in the news.
