The head of that red shirt cop group said the mayor told the cops not to put their headgear on because it would be intimidating.

Plus it’s obvious there was a stand down order or many would have been arrested

Standing down for a time is a tactic which allows for those groups leaders to eventually show themselves as they have to keep their ‘soldiers’ in line. I saw a couple tonight from the media coverage. You can bet the undercover cops know who they are.
