What gives with the establishment. That sorry joke Biden was one of the leaders in blocking Pres. Ford's attempt at last minute funding for South Viet Nam. When the norks won half of Congress seemed dizzy with joy. Every time since any US military operation has been met with cries of 'another Viet Nam' and 'quagmire' from much of the political establishment. G W Bush and his administration were called every epithet possible for the Iraq invasion. So why all the moaning and hysteria when DJT orders uniformed personnel to leave Syria (not a large number). A significant part is that the establishment has learned a few things from Gramsci, without ever knowing his name. One of these is declare your opponents wrong on every thing they do or propose while being careful to never offer any alternative. Constant negative criticism damages one's opponent. Or rather did before DJT who punches back and calls out the constant negative complainers

So Trump is allowed to enter any country any time but is not allowed to leave? Who is in control of the armed forces? It doesn’t seems like it’s the elected leader. If Congress wants to be in the war then vote to authorize Trump to fight the war and then don’t undermine him when you think he’s too tough

No surprise the Lobby for Perpetual War is in hysterics that Trump is taking steps to return US National Policy to it proper form and ending the 30 year mistake in Bushy Globalism pushed by the last 4 US Presidents.

I think the American people decide “who” is our enemy or our “ally”. Not these people.

I would say that Trump took Eisenhower’s “Military Industrial Complex” speech quite seriously. About 60 years too late...but we can see the disaster and degradation that permanent low-level war can wreak on a nation. It is a significant part of the overall deterioration of America as a nation. It only benefits the politicians, who have become the Corrupt American Oligarchs, as they are the modern day profiteers and gun-runners.

America makes the Aegean Stables look like a Class 1 Clean Room.

Actions like this by the President certainly brings out all the Hawk Neocons that lurk here on FreeRepublic.

If only we could have a NeoCon Army Division or two. I am sure we wouldn’t hear from all them around here as they would be out persecuting yet another Foreign War without victory as a goal and no end in site.

This is a (history of the Kurds) Five nations are involved, Turkey, Syria, Iran, Iraq, and a small part of Armenia. The only winner so far has been those who manufacture military gear and weapons, medical suppliers and food conveyors. President Trump is right to stop this madness; it is a no win situation.
