I expect this impeachment investigation will last until the election. If they actually impeach him and the senate votes then it’s over and life goes on, the democrats gain nothing from it and look like fools. They only win if they stretch it out. The Mueller farce was over in 2 1/2 years so they had to come up with something else to use to corral Trump until the next election, this is it.
They can’t afford to actually impeach Trump, never ending investigations are the goal.
