I have a Nephew, also Florida born. Who used to make bombs and set them off in lakes.
One day a deputy was driving by just as one went off. He questioned Teddy and Ted lied saying it was a cherry bomb. The deputy told him “That weren’t no cherry bomb”.
Ted then told the truth and was very fortunate that the lawman let him go.
Somebody needs to straighten Teddy out.
You should explain to him that he was supposed to ask “are you just gonna stand there, or are you gonna fish?”
Sigh.
