I never heard of this audit of the President thing. The President is having his own PERSONAL audit done, that is why they cannot get his tax returns. (No idea where I read that)
The reason that PDJT does not need to produce his info is because there is not LAW that says a sitting president must produce his tax info for audit by congress.
