Bad day: two relics crashed and burned - a B-17 and Bernie Sanders.
Too bad. I always run outside when I hear those vintage engines flying overhead.
Sad. Collings Foundation have been stalwarts of the warbird community for decades.
Hope everyone escaped the plane safely, hope for the best for the plane also.
Praying for those on board.
Three hurt, no deaths reported so far.
Its funny, I was in my office paying bills with my wife yelling in to me, while the hospital notifications going off on my phone.
(Of course, I left the hospital 9 months ago...I hope any injured go to the “other” hospital. Clearly my former employer is a bit behind the times!)
Big fire doesnt look good. Prayers for all.

Good old A/Gas. Super volatile.
Great collection of vintage planes there...definitely worth a visit.
Oddly, that is the exact same way that I pay bills.
I flew in the B-17 many years ago when they came to a local airport in
Ma. Once in a lifetime experience.

Prayers for all. These planes are old, but very safe. My USAF son and I flew on EAA’s B-17 “Aluminum Overcast” a few years ago. It was worth every penny.
Again, hope there are no fatalities. Prayers up.
From someone at the show, he stated that the crash happened after landing.
Has the name of the B-17 been reported yet?
“Nine O Nine”
Not to mention magnesium and magnesium/aluminum airframe.
Hartford Courant headline now says at
least two dead
Was “FeFe” a B17?
