Alan Dershowitz has been saying exactly that for a couple years now, especially in relation to Hillary, whom he loves. He’s often said that if Hillary were prosecuted for anything she’s ever done, America becomes a “banana republic”. According to him, if you hold public office you’re immune from any justice — particularly Hillary.
