President Trump’s allies see reasons to worry about the rise of Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), who is gaining steadily in Democratic primary polls and attracting huge crowds of supporters to her campaign rallies. The Hill interviewed more than a half-dozen current or former advisers to Trump, and about half viewed Warren as the most formidable nominee in a head-to-head match-up against Trump, while the other half described former Vice President Joe Biden as the tougher general election foe.
To many Trump World insiders, Warren increasingly looks like the candidate with the best shot at winning the nomination. The two most recent surveys of Iowa and New Hampshire show Warren edging Biden, with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) fading into the pack. The Trump allies who view Warren as the strongest general election Democrat described her as a “movement” candidate with crossover appeal between the left and the center. They said Warren’s message fits the moment and view her potential candidacy as a wild card, believing that Trump would fare better in a rematch against an establishment candidate, such as Biden.

Supposedly she isn't polling well among black Democrats. That may make her decide to pick a black male VP candidate if she is the nominee. I can't think of any well-known black male Democrat who would help the ticket by being on it.

I disagree with most of the comments. I think the article is quite good. She is more formidable and harder to predict than most of us here think, but ultimately quite beatable, especially because she will alienate the money-bags of the Democratic party, namely Wall Street. Except for not mentioning this last point, I think the article does a good job of reporting the pros and cons of her (and Biden’s) candidacy.
The flops on the campaign trail are far from being in the past for Warren. Last week, she exaggerated for the third time the size of her campaign rally crowds. After holding a rally in Washington Square in New York City, the Warren campaign claimed 20,000 people were at the event. New York City Parks confirmed that Washington Square can only hold a maximum of 10,000 people.
Similarly, in August, Warren’s campaign claimed that 12,000 people were in attendance at her rally on the campus of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. The maximum capacity of the venue, though, is about 3,000 people, and with crowd spillover, there could not have been more than 6,000 attendees.
In New Hampshire, Warren’s campaign claimed there were 700 people in attendance at a rally on a farm. Breitbart News was there and judged the crowd at about “over 300.”
Built mostly on the perception of a grassroots populist campaign, Warren’s run for president has seen her take on multinational corporations for outsourcing American jobs and promising an economic patriotist agenda even while using billionaire donor money and pleasing the donor class by taking a mass illegal and legal immigration position.
Despite her anti-establishment messaging, Warren has reportedly been in talks with Democrat Party establishment figures like failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and has received praise from former Senator Harry Reid. One Democrat strategist told NBC News that Clinton has been impressed with Warren’s campaign thus far.
I’ve watched all rallies that Trump has held. I have wondered and questioned in my mind, why do so many people continue to show up and stand in line for hours to hear basically the same speech over and over? It has finally jelled. A trump rally is the only feasible way for we common folk to have a “voice” against the liberal control by use of government schools & colleges, and the propaganda machine of TV & leading papers and magazines. We are overwhelmed by the Socialist money.
Conservatives’ have scant vehicles with which to fight back or anyway to let our wishes heard. Thank God for Trump rallies. They offer us a way to show the world that we do not approve of their progressive plans. So, be sure that we continue to go to the rallies when it is possible to do so. Our voice is on display when we gather together.

I agree that somebody like Tim Ryan is a better candidate, but it’s apparent that the DNC has zero tolerance for a White Male with Blue Dog Democrat sensibilities. Part of their problem is their base cannot tolerate Blue Dog moderates anymore and they have to have a “woke” candidate.
I would love to see President Trump scratch his fingernails on a chalk board to imitate Warren. At a debate!
