Its appalling for President Trump to ask a foreign leader to investigate Joe Biden for alleged corruption.
Then again: What exactly was Bidens son, Hunter, doing in that foreign country and why was he hired to do it? Those are fair questions, which the media would never stop asking if the son under scrutiny happened to be Donald Trump Jr. But the Biden campaign is pushing back hard, with the now familiar cry that asking merely amplifies Trump talking points. Sorry, but I disagree.
Of course, Trump would love to turn Hunter Biden into Hillary Clintons e-mails. So, theres reasonable fear of giving too much oxygen to wild accusations. But you dont have to work for Fox News to see legitimate concerns over Hunter Bidens business dealings. In fact, you can read all about them in presumably friendly media outposts like The New Yorker and the New York Times.
On the narrow question of whether Joe Biden used his position as vice president to push for the ouster of a Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating a Ukrainian energy company that was paying Hunter Biden lots of money theres no credible evidence of that, several media investigations have concluded. But, as the Times ever so delicately put it, some State Department officials had expressed concern that Hunter Bidens work in Ukraine could complicate his fathers diplomacy there.
That but is a problem for Biden, even if its just an appearance problem. In the context of the race for the Democratic presidential nomination, its a big gift to Senator Elizabeth Warren. Just last week, Bidens Democratic rival, who is surging in polls, said if shes elected president, she would champion a sweeping package to end government corruption as her first major piece of legislation. She specifically described Trump as corruption ..

I thought there was a video of Biden bragging about doing exactly that??

LOL. You are correct about that. However that sort of evidence cannot be used in media investigations.
Why not, you might ask. The answer: Because it would prove that Biden and his son were on the take. That cannot be allowed to happen. Case dismissed due to lake of evidence.
Good one, you got a laugh out of me on that one
Note also that Rudy said yesterday he was putting this out there and would be presenting conclusive proof tomorrow (today).
It was $3 million as stated by Rudy, it went from Ukraine to Latvia to Cyprus to the US in an account controlled by Hunter Biden.
The Ukrainian prosecutor that Biden got fired, this prosecutor was demanding the $3 million be returned as it was part of a larger investigation of $5 billion theft by an Oligarch. I believe the Oligarch donated to the Clinton Foundation.
The Ukrainian prosecutor traced the $3 million from Ukraine to Latvia to Cypress. The funds were in Cypress when the prosecutor traced it there. The prosecutor demanded from Obamas Ambassador to Cypress that the funds be returned and was rebuffed. This is where Biden got in the act to demand the prosecutor be fired or else Ukraine would not get US loan guarantees of billions.
This is textbook corruption and should be prosecuted by the Trump Administration without hesitation.

he was hot on the trail of humper biden till daddy joe came to the rescue with paltry $ 1 billion dollar bribe.
Precisely. It is a twofer. The Dems will use this to get another impeachment effort rolling, which will ultimately go nowhere, and move Biden out of the way for Warren. With Warren they can use the Cultural Marxist playbook which has already swallowed up huge numbers of women.
On impeachment, handing over the transcripts of the phone calls with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the Senate Foreign Intelligence Committee is a big mistake. If President Trump can without giving away sensitive information, they should be revealed directly to the American people. That way, no political football and misrepresentation behind the protection of closed doors.
The egg on faces should be historic slapstick with painful consequences.
Awaiting Biden's press conference of denial and Pelosi's House vote on an impeachment inquiry . . .
It’s been all over Fox News
Thanks for all these pings. This is beyond exciting.
Hannity should certainly have mentioned that Biden would deny that he forced the firing of the Ukrainian prosecutor in order to help his son Hunter. There probably were legitimate reasons for the prosecutor to be fired. However, if John Solomon and others are right about Hunter Biden's $83,000/month income from the Ukrainian company, then the Bidens should be forced to explain what made Hunter worth that kind of money. Here's one possibility: The Ukrainian company was corrupt, knew it was being investigated, and hired Biden precisely to shield themselves from the prosecutor. If so, their payoffs to Hunter paid off handsomely.
As for President Trump's much-criticized communications with the Ukrainian government, Trump had an obligation to inform the Ukrainians that the United States was no longer going to interfere with their investigations.
I often find myself getting mad at Hannity, but in the end I think he does much more good than bad.
