In an angry and emotional speech at the United Nations climate summit on Monday, Swedish teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg tore into world leaders for failing to act.
"This is all wrong," Thunberg said, reading from a piece of paper. "I shouldn't be up here. I should be back in school on the other side of the ocean, yet you come to us young people for hope. How dare you."
"People are suffering," the 16-year-old continued through tears. "People are dying. Entire ecosystems are collapsing. We are at the beginning of a mass extinction and all you can talk about is money and fairy tales of eternal economic growth. How dare you."
"How dare you continue to look away and come here saying you are doing enough," Thunberg added. "You say you hear us and understand the urgency, but no matter how sad and angry I am, I do not want to believe that. Because if you really understood the situation and still kept on failing to act, then you would be evil. And that I refuse to believe."

Gee 16 year old school dropout...where are the facts for these wild assertions? Greta is a tool. My bet is she will fly back to Sweden in a private jet. With only a few years left of life on earth she better start attending drunken sex parties and have a little fun before it is too late.

I could have guessed the Aspergers part.
Just makes me pissed off at her parents all the more that they’re parading her around for politics instead of getting her help.
She, like Al Gore, should practice what she preaches before demanding anything of anyone else. No carbon based transportation, heat, food, medicine, or modern electronics. A good year of living as a cave man would convince her otherwise I am sure.
And I won’t tell her how to live her life, but she will start a civil war if she even tries to force it on the rest of us , who don’t agree.
She is the single best example for the need to use corporal punishment, except her parents probably encourage the spoiled brat.
I get that vibe, too - though Veruca was a fictional exaggeration of a spoiled rotten adolescent, not a real-life brainwashed simpleton.
I’m on the autistic spectrum myself and I can say that ‘crippling’ is the right word to use.
Her parents turning her into a sideshow attraction instead of getting her help that she needs just makes things worse.
