Yet again, ANOTHER EXAMPLE. If the Left owns the media and continue to be PROTECTED against being sued by the First Amendment, they can continue this against Kavenaugh, as well any (or all) other Republicans, until they drive them out of power.

I love the Constitution as much as anyone here...but I’ve HAD IT with the press-immunity aspect of the First Amendment. It needs to go.

I do not think the First Amendment protects libel and slander. Rather, I think the press is immunized against being held responsible by Supreme Court decisions.

If we could hold the press responsible, we could change the political dialogue. Gloria Allred and other leftist power brokers would no longer be able to pay women to make unprovable claims of sexual misconduct against conservative candidates and nominees, because the press would be wary of publishing unfounded claims.

Press immunity is not in the First Amendment. It is based on a 1964 Supreme Court ruling.
