A small step in the right direction, but I hope prosecutors move quickly on charges related to the central issues in the conspiracy against Trump. My layman's sense is that the explicit lying to the FISA court in order to fraudulently obtain permission for electronic surveillance of a presidential campaign is the place to begin. That is at the center of the case, and clear misrepresentations to the FISA court should be as open and shut as anything can be.

I also fully expect, however, that the odds of jury nullification are pretty close to 100 percent, no matter how damning the evidence may be. This will be driven purely by politics, and the Democrats are so far gone on sheer hate that finding an impartial jury will be well-nigh impossible. And if we get jury nullification, the Democrats will hail it as vindication and the media will cram it down the nation's throat.
