This is what happens when you live in a reinforcing bubble. You’re told that your ideology and your ideas alone equal smart, rational, kind, fair, justice, LOVE. Everyone else is to be ignored as a stupid, crazy, evil hater.
Block out corrective feedback long enough, and you BELIEVE it. This is the explanation of social justice, liberal political dogma invested with religious levels of devotion.
And once you believe that, it becomes morally necessary to oppress the evil haters who just want to hurt all those sacred victim groups some more. And silence the hate speech, because it hurts people to tell them they’re wrong or deny the reality that makes them feel good and you have the power to define AS good.
