The Trump administration has released $250 million in military aid to Ukraine that had been held up despite criticism that the money was desperately needed to deter Russian aggression and territorial expansion.

As CBS News has reported, the administration had been reviewing military spending for Ukraine.

"The president has made no secret when it comes to foreign assistance that U.S. interests abroad should be prioritized and other foreign countries should also be paying their fair share," a senior administration official told CBS News last month.

Committee members announced the administration's move during debate on a $695 billion Pentagon funding bill.

Like he said he’s hard on Russia or he’s got a hard on for them.

This is analogous to Russia giving $250mil to the Reconquista.

“This is analogous to Russia giving $250mil to the Reconquista.”

Can you remind me when the US Government deliberately starved several million Mexicans to death?

Thanks.

Okay then, remind me when the United States invaded Mexico and imposed a brutal communist dictatorship that lasted 3 generations.

Thanks.

You are not aware of the history of Russia and Ukraine. You only know of the atrocities of the 20th century. Or, those are the only historical facts you care to acknowledge.

Until the advent of the Soviet Union, there was no Ukraine. Before that it was never an independent country, either being part of Russia or part of Poland/Prussia.

Russia has a million soldiers buried in Ukraine. Catherine the Great turned a fetid swamp into Odessa. The Russian Orthodox Church was spawned in the home of the Kievian Rus.

“You are not aware of the history of Russia and Ukraine.”

Actually I am.

“You only know of the atrocities of the 20th century.”

Like those ain’t enough for the Ukrainians.

“Until the advent of the Soviet Union, there was no Ukraine.”

True but irrelevant. There is one now. They have a seat at the UN and everything.

“Russia has a million soldiers buried in Ukraine.”

That’s a pretty good start if you ask me.

“Catherine the Great turned a fetid swamp into Odessa. The Russian Orthodox Church was spawned in the home of the Kievian Rus.”

And then the Russian communists came along and turned it into a slaughterhouse.

Game. Set. Match.

Enjoy your evening.

This anti-Russian bull crap neocons are pushing here is a hard sell in Ukraine itself lately. I routinely watch their media and nationalist vloggers and the change in mood is spectacular. The disappointment over ‘European choice’ is widespread.
