And that's the root problem: any legislation which the left likes is set in stone; any court decision which the Left likes is irreversible and sacred.

But anything the Left DOESN'T like can be overturned as soon as they get power again.

If we don't have Voter ID, one thing that would make me happy would be allowing poll watchers to photograph incoming voters, recording who they say they are, and feeding the results in real-time to a central site for biometric identification analysis. With anyone showing up at a poll when he has already been at another poll getting instantly flagged to the poll watcher.
