I would imagine that since 2020 is only months away, lightbulb manufacturers would already have re-tooled their designs to meet the standards which were expected to come into effect under the Obama rule. Already, the new-style bulbs are almost the only thing I see on the shelves

Well they’ve finally gotten the light quality down pat, the cost down, and the things seem to last way longer than regular incandescents. And use way less electricity. I’m not in favor of the government mandating what kind of light bulbs we can use, but i’m happy with LEDs and am sticking with them.

I am too lazy to check it out, but I believe it was George W. Bush who signed the bill into law.

Totally agree. This is a huge nothing burger in reality...we’ve already scaled up mass production of alternatives with years of improvements. The old equipment is probably gone and it’d cost the manufacturers more to go back to them than just improve what they have with current products.

The other aspect is that many consumers have already upgraded and they last longer. There’s probably very little reason for any manufacturer to even bother going back.

PDJT did this to torment the leftist idiots.
