Interesting.
That kind of makes sense. Seems like an unintended consequence, wonder if anyone brought it up before they began changing them out.
LEDs are such efficient technology, I agree the market would have embraced them and weaned many off incandescent bulbs without any force, extortion, and browbeating by the Federal government.
I like how cool they are. It really helps in the summer time when the air conditioner is blasting. Of course, you lose that warming in the winter when it is needed, but light bulb warming is not exactly efficient. I appreciate how cool LEDs are in the summer, especially when I stand in front of my OLED TV, which pours off a lot of heat for LED technology.
I like LEDs...I love them in my garage/workspace because they illuminate brightly and starkly, just what I want there!
I hated those CFLs though...there was something bogus and unattractive about their cast...almost greenish or alien.
Freedom to choose what light bulb to use is so scary. Please mandate what I should do.
Don't flush when you doo-doo!
Yep, CFLs looked horrible. Worst of both worlds. You can get LEDs in a lot of light temps. I like warm golden lighting as opposed to that bright white hot lighting. My eyes can’t take the harsh pure whiteness. CFLs gave you no choice. At least LEDs do like incandescents did.
