Yes, good post! One of the things that is different today than it was 40 or 50 years ago was that the population has increased near the east coast and along the gulf coast. A lot more people live in Florida because of air conditioning. The other thing that has INCREASED is the amount of fear porn that people watch 24/7 when a hurricane is predicted to get near the coasts. I can understand keeping people informed about dangerous weather systems, but the media takes to another level. Climate is cyclical and has been for eons. Too many idiots out there that believe the “science” that obviously has no basis in reality.
