The San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed a resolution on Tuesday declaring that the National Rifle Association is a domestic terrorist organization.
The officials also urged other cities, states and the federal government to follow suit.
District 2 Supervisor Catherine Stefani wrote the resolution and shared her thoughts on the NRA with KTVU. "The NRA has it coming to them," she said. "And I will do everything I possibly can to call them out on what they are, which is a domestic terrorist organization."
After citing some statistics about gun violence in the United States like that there's been more than one mass shooting per day in the country in 2019 Stefani got local with how gun violence has impact the Bay Area.
She cited the shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival on July 28, referencing Stephen Romero, Keyla Salazar and Trevor Irby, who were killed by gunman Santino William Legan in what she called a "senseless act of gun violence that day."
Later in the resolution, which the board passed unanimously, the NRA is blamed for causing gun violence. "The National Rifle Association musters its considerable wealth and organizational strength to promote gun ownership and incite gun owners to acts of violence," the resolution reads.
The resolution also claims that the NRA "spreads propaganda," "promotes extremist positions," and has "through its advocacy has armed those individuals who would and have committed acts of terrorism."

They’re just setting us up for their “red flag” laws.
NRA member = terrorist = no guns for you!
Cloward-Piven
Wonder how many know who the Emperor Norton was. I did a research paper on him 55 years ago in High School.
I declare SF a sh%t hole. Oh, and water is wet.
i respect your position but there is a time to take a stand... this is becoming one of those times. If President Puto did something that egregious then it’s definitely time.
If true they realize there are way too many individuals for them to contend with.
So the SF City Council is now America’s newest hate group?
As a life member of the NRA since 1986 I say good! Bring it, commmie bassturds.
San Fransicko is full of crap. REALLY.
where does ANTIFA stand there same or no spoken word you bunch of _ _ _ _ sucking low lives?
NO redeemable functioning Govt in CA...SF look at your pitiful form a a former city and you define others and other groups...how dare you judge?
NRA, from the 1930’s
The National Recovery Administration (NRA) was a prime New Deal agency established by U.S. president Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) in 1933.

Passing the this resolution now by them with all their problems and the issues of the country with absolutely no association with the NRA begs the question - WHY - and now - DIVERSION TACTIC - of the real problems - a real tool of - DEMS!
The SF Board of Supervisors can also declare Santa Claus a dangerous seasonal intruder - who cares? It’s an empty symbolic gesture, and that’s all the SF city government is capable of. The city itself is rapidly turning into a Third World hellhole under the mismanagement of the liberals - I’ve been to China, India, Indonesia, Nigeria, Colombia - all have cities which are cleaner and smell better than much of SF.
Sue the bastards!!
Fecal contamination causes more deaths than guns. The board of fecal matter has 4 smelly fingers pointing back at them.
>If you dont think theyve already got lists of firearms owners and other problematic individuals youre out of your mind. Trust Me. They have lists. Lots of them.<
I’m sure I’m on lists but none are terrorists lists and the revenuers can not be sure whether I’m armed or not.
A much greater threat than the poop in the streets and sidewalks and parks of San Fransisco is the poop inside the skulls of the people who run the place.
Just a thought. Can the NRA sue San Francisco because of this designation. It would be interesting to see the city attempt to prove that the NRA is a terrorist organization.
