SF Board of Supervisors declare National Rifle Association a domestic terrorist organization
sfgate ^ | September 4, 2019 | Drew Costley

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors passed a resolution on Tuesday declaring that the National Rifle Association is a domestic terrorist organization.

The officials also urged other cities, states and the federal government to follow suit.

District 2 Supervisor Catherine Stefani wrote the resolution and shared her thoughts on the NRA with KTVU. "The NRA has it coming to them," she said. "And I will do everything I possibly can to call them out on what they are, which is a domestic terrorist organization."

After citing some statistics about gun violence in the United States – like that there's been more than one mass shooting per day in the country in 2019 – Stefani got local with how gun violence has impact the Bay Area.

She cited the shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival on July 28, referencing Stephen Romero, Keyla Salazar and Trevor Irby, who were killed by gunman Santino William Legan in what she called a "senseless act of gun violence that day."

Later in the resolution, which the board passed unanimously, the NRA is blamed for causing gun violence. "The National Rifle Association musters its considerable wealth and organizational strength to promote gun ownership and incite gun owners to acts of violence," the resolution reads.

The resolution also claims that the NRA "spreads propaganda," "promotes extremist positions," and has "through its advocacy has armed those individuals who would and have committed acts of terrorism."

This story would be more believable if you replaced NRA with DNC at every place in the story.

“....Later in the resolution, which the board passed unanimously, the NRA is blamed for causing gun violence. “The National Rifle Association musters its considerable wealth and organizational strength to promote gun ownership and incite gun owners to acts of violence,” the resolution reads...The resolution also claims that the NRA “spreads propaganda,” “promotes extremist positions,” and has “through its advocacy has armed those individuals who would and have committed acts of terrorism.”.....”

SF is a laughing stock.

This is why I never joined the NRA or any other gun group. In 2021 a President Beto can get full NRA membership lists from the courts and red flag NRA members as members of a terrorist group. I’m just sayin’

yet ANOTHER reason to never go there, after the poopy streets, drugs and homeless people, now this. I wonder what they are going to do when the crazy, drugged up homeless all get guns and go on a rampage when the money runs out?

If you don’t think they’ve already got lists of firearms owners and other “problematic” individuals you’re out of your mind. Trust Me. They have lists. Lots of them.

NRA needs to immediately announce a membership drive for the Bay Area.

Anyone in SF zip codes gets 3 years membership free!

SF Board of Supervisors declare National Rifle Association a domestic terrorist organization

I venture to bet that Hitler, Chairman Mao, Stalin, Castro as well as any other want to be dictator would whole heartedly agree with these mentally challenged supervisors. As this is the way dictatorships come in to being. First we register all the guns so the government knows where they are, next you turn them in or we come for them. And when we tell you to jump, all you are allowed to ask for is “How high and how far do you want us to jump” It has been done before and ignorant and dumb people fall for it hook, line and sinker each and every time, without exception.

If The San Francisco Board of Supervisors got together and declared the moon to be made of green cheese would that make it so?

It was in San Francisco, many years ago, that there were a series of murders in one weekend. No guns involved. The San Francisco Board of Supervisors immediately demanded more gun control to combat the problem.
