The Trump administration will divert $3.6 billion from the Pentagon to fund the border wall and the Democrats are furious.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called Trump’s move to divert funds from military projects to pay for the border wall a “slap in the face” and said the move will “harm already planned, important projects” intended for military construction.

“The president is trying to usurp Congress’s exclusive power of the purse and loot vital funds from our military. Robbing the Defense Department of much- needed funds is an affront to our service members and Congress will strongly oppose any funds for new wall construction,” Schumer added.

He asked for input from the Defense Department, who looked at is a National Security issue and found they could, in fact, use the monies for this purpose without injury to their mission...

Now if we could just use all the money we will save by having a wall to fund military projects.

Savings from border patrol, Crime investigations, deportation hearings, detention centers, welfare, etc,

Chuck Schemer had 3 years to play ball, instead he played politics at America’s expense.

If you don’t like being bypassed don’t be a treasonous partisan turd.

Besides such measures as security while construction is going
on I bet there are projects within the construction area that could
be carried out by the military forces.

However that would hack the democrats, labor unions and impact
the upcoming Presidential election.

Given that the US military is spending ( wasting?) $52 Billion per year bogged down in a losing war in Afghanistan, a one time $3.6 billion charge for securing our Southern border is the bargain of the century.

Building the wall does far more to defend our country and enhance national security than the current stalemate in Afghanistan that is grinding up and wearing out our troops, tanks and planes and driving them into the ground

Schumer calls it “a slam in the face”.

Well, he deserves many slaps in the face. And a few kicks in the ass.

Trump should authorize a mural of a buttocks be painted on a portion of the wall and invite Schumer to go and kiss it.
