Answered my own question. The Conservatives had a minority government with 310 seats but a working majority in Commons by entering into an agreement with the Democratic Unionists who held 15 seats. With this defection Johnson has 324 seats out of 650.
Sinn Fein holds 7 seats but they don’t take their seats because they won’t swear an oath to the Queen.
